About Anchorage

Anchorage High School was located in the city of Anchorage in eastern Jefferson County, Kentucky. Anchorage is a small independent municipality within the Louisville metropolitan area known for its historic homes and suburban character. The Anchorage Trailblazers represented the school in interscholastic athletics before the high school grades were eventually discontinued. Students from the Anchorage Independent School district now attend nearby high schools in the Louisville area while the district continues to operate an independent K-8 school.
