Augusta Independent High School is located in Augusta in Bracken County, Kentucky along the Ohio River. The small river town has a long history dating back to the early nineteenth century and remains a close-knit community where school athletics play an important role. The Augusta Panthers boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and represents the Augusta Independent School district. Games against regional opponents such as Bracken County and other northern Kentucky programs contribute to the competitive basketball tradition in the area.
