Miners
Benham High School was located in the coal mining town of Benham in Harlan County in southeastern Kentucky. The school served the company town built around the Benham coal mine and fielded athletic teams including the Benham Miners boys basketball program. The school operated through much of the twentieth century before closing as the population of the coal town declined and county school consolidation shifted students to other Harlan County schools.
