Blackford High School historically served the rural community of Blackford in Hancock County, Kentucky. During the early and mid-twentieth century the school represented its local community in interscholastic athletics including boys basketball. As school consolidation occurred in Hancock County, the smaller community schools were closed and students were incorporated into the countywide Hancock County High School.
