Central City High School is located in Central City in Muhlenberg County in western Kentucky. The school opened in 1912 and serves the Central City Independent School district. The Central City Yellowjackets boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and represents a coalfield community where high school sports have historically played a central role in civic life.
