Covington High School historically served the city of Covington in Kenton County in northern Kentucky along the Ohio River. Prior to the establishment of multiple modern high schools in the Covington Independent School district, Covington High School represented the city in athletics including boys basketball during the early decades of organized high school competition in the state. The school was later replaced as the district reorganized its high schools, leading to institutions such as Holmes High School.
