Hardin High School historically served Hardin County in north-central Kentucky. During the early twentieth century the county maintained several community-based high schools that fielded athletic teams including boys basketball. The Hardin High School program represented the county before the eventual consolidation of Hardin County schools into larger county high schools such as North Hardin, Central Hardin, and John Hardin High School.
