Laurel County High School historically served Laurel County in southeastern Kentucky. The school represented the county in athletics including boys basketball prior to the creation of multiple county high schools as the district expanded. Laurel County later developed schools such as North Laurel and South Laurel High School to serve the growing population of the region.
