About Mason County

Mason County High School is located in Maysville in Mason County, Kentucky along the Ohio River. The school opened in 1990 when the Mason County School District consolidated Mason County High School and Maysville High School. The Mason County Royals boys basketball program has become one of the most successful programs in Kentucky high school basketball history, winning multiple KHSAA state championships and representing the communities of northeastern Kentucky.
