McHenry High School historically served the rural community of McHenry in Ohio County, Kentucky. The small community school fielded athletic programs including boys basketball during the early and mid-twentieth century when many Kentucky counties operated several small local high schools. The school later closed when Ohio County consolidated its schools into larger county high schools including Ohio County High School.
