Oakton High School historically served the small rural community of Oakton in Christian County, Kentucky. The school operated during the early twentieth century when many farming communities across western Kentucky maintained small local high schools. Oakton fielded athletic teams including boys basketball before the area's schools were consolidated into larger county institutions such as Christian County High School in Hopkinsville.
