Paintsville High School is located in Paintsville in Johnson County, Kentucky and is part of the Paintsville Independent School District. The school has served the eastern Kentucky city for decades and fields athletic teams known as the Tigers. The Paintsville Tigers boys basketball program competes in the KHSAA and represents the historic coalfield community in the Big Sandy Valley.
