Spencer County High School is located in Taylorsville in Spencer County, Kentucky southeast of Louisville. The school opened in 1976 following consolidation of the county's smaller schools. The Spencer County Bears boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association representing the rural communities surrounding Taylorsville Lake.
