About Union County

Union County High School is located in Morganfield in Union County, Kentucky in the western coalfield region of the state. The school opened in 1964 following the consolidation of Sturgis and Morganfield high schools. The Union County Braves boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and represents communities throughout Union County along the Ohio River.
