About Lafayette

Lafayette High School is located in Lexington in Fayette County in central Kentucky. The school opened in 1939 and is part of the Fayette County Public Schools system. Named for the Marquis de Lafayette, the Lafayette Generals boys basketball program competes in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association and represents one of Lexington's long-standing public high school programs.
